Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Panelbeater to join our team on a full-time basis. The role involves assessing vehicle damage and carrying out structural and cosmetic repairs to restore vehicles to their original condition. Spray painting experience is highly desirable to support workshop operations and ensure smooth workflow between panel and paint departments.

Core Duties (Panel Beating – Mandatory)

Using diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify electrical and electronic faults in motor vehicles.

Dismantling, removing, and replacing electrical and electronic assemblies, wiring, and related components.

Installing and maintaining electrical equipment, electronic control units, and related components in vehicles.

Connecting and integrating power-operated systems, accessories, and additional electrical equipment to the vehicle’s power supply.

Adjusting, calibrating, and programming engine control systems, ignition systems, and timing mechanisms.

Testing, servicing, and replacing defective alternators, generators, voltage regulators, starter motors, and related charging system components.

Repairing, rewiring, and replacing faulty ignition systems, wiring harnesses, and electrical circuits.

Inspecting, diagnosing, and replacing defective electrical parts such as fuses, relays, lamps, switches, and other vehicle electrical accessories.

Ensures compliance with occupational health and safety regulations

Qualification & Experience Required

Mandatory

AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)

Desired

Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicle electrical systems
Current Australian driver’s licence.

Essential Skills & Attributes

Automotive Air Conditioning (A/C) qualification, skills, and hands-on experience.
Experience in installing and servicing emergency service vehicle lights, sirens, and related equipment.
